Anthony Hopkins أنتوني هوبكنز
أصبح تأثره بنجم الكلاسيكيات “ريتشارد بورتون” سبباً رئيسياً جعله يمتهن التمثيل ويدرسه في المسرح القومي في لندن.
ولد النجم الكبير “أنتوني هوبكنز” في غرب جالمورجان في ويلز عام 1937، وقام بدراسة الموسيقى والدراما ليتخرج عام 1957 ليسافر بعدها إلى لندن لدراسة التمثيل واحترافه.
يرجع الفضل للنجم الكبير “لورينس أوليفير” في اكتشاف موهبة “هوبكنز” حيث قدمه للمشاركة في الفيلم التليفزيوني A Flea in Her Ear عام 1967.
قام “هوبكنز” بعدها بالمشاركة في أفلام عديدة بعد ذلك أشهرها A Bridge Too Far عام 1977 وThe Elephant Man عام 1980، ولكن الأدوار التي كان يقوم بها لم تكن تعلق في أذهان المشاهدين لكونها أدوار عادية حتى جاء عام 1991 الذي أعلن عن وجود موهبة ضارية غير مروضة يمتلكها “هوبكنز” ظهرت في فيلم الأوسكار The Silence of the Lambs.
حصل “هوبكنز” من خلال هذا الدور على جائزتي الأوسكار والبافتا، ومنذ وقتها أصبحت مشاركته في أي فيلم دليلاً كافياً على قوته، فكانت أفلام مثل Legends of the Fall عام 1994 وThe Mask of Zorro عام 1998 وHannibal وHitchcock عام 2012 والذي جسد فيه دور مخرج الرعب العبقري “ألفريد هيتشكوك”.
